Hooray for May!  So glad you have arrived...life at cup creek valley and possum holler have been quite busy lately...work, crafting, kids tennis, work, crafting, kids golf, crafting, end of school programs, cleaning, work, crafting, Easter celebrations, etc...you get the idea...well anyway...it seems April and May are now the new November and December with schedules overflowing...I have been trying out featuring my finished goods on earlywork mercantile...head on over and check it out....amazing talented people out there...our Maker is pretty crafty himself,  how he gave each and every one of us different gifts and how that creativity abounds...that was evident at this years quilt show in Paducah...what an amazing array of talent, beauty, creativity and all kinds of goodies to build your stash (or retirement savings as I refer to it...my husband just laughs)...I found goodies from Lisa at Primitive Gatherings, some Kathy Schmitz patterns I had been wanting for a long time, and discovered a new designer to me Lori Smith ( From my heart to your Hands), I purchased her Mrs. Lincoln's Sampler Quilt pattern...can't wait to experiment with it...I also had to add to my stash a book by Dawn Heese, Geese in the Rose Garden....anyway, I ramble, hope you all have a Blessed day...check out the goodies at earlywork mercantile and an updated post over at thecrookedstitcher.blogspot...

Welcome to the first post at Cup Creek Valley Designs...so many creative ideas and now trying to make them come to fruition....here are some of the fun things I have been working on...

The first two images are of a necklace and earring design that I call 'pretty petals'...it is made of leather, copper, silver plated copper wire, pink and green tourmaline, pearl, labradorite, phrenite, agate, and rose quartz...the necklace clasp is a loop and button closure...reminds me of Spring....

The next image is of a simple bracelet made with leather, gold plated brass and a faceted tear drop shaped chrysoprase...very dainty...this bracelet I call 'renewal'....
The next bracelet made with large red pearls ...approx 8mm...ladder stitched on leather with a loop and button closure...'roses are red'
I absolutely love how this next bracelet turned out...I love the combination of the various soft colored pearls with the rosey glow of the copper beads....'streams of mercy'

The next two images are named 'the still waters'...the first image is a wrap bracelet and the second is a necklace...they are made of leather, zebra stone, pearl, apatite, labradorite, magnesite, copper, and silver plated copper...they have loop and button closures

The last two images are of my newest necklace design....'the promise of Spring'...I love Spring and am very eager for it's arrival...this necklace includes a copper focal charm, and various shapes of magnesite, tigers eye, red bamboo coral, copper and sterling silver beads and pearls...for this piece I made a copper clasp and leather loop closure...love the robin's egg blue of the magnesite...

Hope you enjoy and if anyone is interested in any of my one of a kind designs please send me an email at cupcreekvalleydesigns@gmail.com
I would love the opportunity to make something just for you!
Have a Blessed Sunday!
Love,
Melody
